Cairo’s Weekly Guide

April is right around the corner and it’s looking a good month. Here’s the weekly guide for the events going on in Cairo this week.

On Sunday 31/3

It’s a jazzy night at Cairo Jazz Club with The Cairo Big Band that will take over with their jazz classics. The band is led by Hesham Galal.

While at Darb1718, a night filled with art and music featuring Le Sherifs and new media artist Maotik. The night will give you a closer look into who they are as well as witnessing a unique collaboration between the two of them.

Moreover, Dub Station will be at 3elbet Alwan playing their reggae music.

D-CAF is having a strong program this year which is no surprise.  At the Falaky Theatre is “Dust” puppet theatre performance which talk about climate change through songs and at La Viennoise Rooftop is a special event called ‘Radio Khiaban’ an event that shows women in their daily oppression.

                         

On Monday 1/4

Cairo Jazz Club is hosting a special event featuring DJ Misty who will be inviting Hey DJ Team the Cyan Team, a night that will keep you dancing the night away. While at Cairo Jazz Club 610 it’s an acoustic night with folk and sufi sounds by Egyptian Project.

Don’t miss Safi and Al Sharif at The Tap Maadi, DJ ABC at The Tap West and Dub Station back with their reggae music at The Tap East.

On Wednesday 3/4

For an R&B and hiphop night, hit Cairo Jazz Club were the one and only DJ Feedo will be grooving your night.

To warm up for the biggest event of the month, Red Bull Sound Clash, The Tap West is hosting a meet and greet night to meet your favourite artists. On the east side, Mobbz will be shaking it with his hiphop and R&B mixes at The Tap East. While at The Tap Maadi, Shunus will be playing his house beats.

Another D-CAF performance called Tesbah Ala Kheir which showcases the concept of dreaming at Rawabet Theatre.
